Cold beverages everywhere!
Have you ever been steaming hot at the beach or at the golf course and wanted to buy a soda… but there wasn’t one around? Or there were semi-lukewarm ones available at exorbitant rates? Well, SOLAR VENDING – an Anglo-Spanish firm – seems to have come up with a solution to the critical global challenge of cold sodas, 24/7, at those places.
Some Solar Powered Beverage Vending Machines have already been installed in beach areas and golf courses throughout Spain. That’s right; golfers don’t have to suffer with lukewarm water out of the golf bag anymore.
Further than solving the location problem in the vending business this machine creates a new sustainable business. It has the potential revenue source of advertising – including LED lighting based mini-billboards – and the tax-free profits due to the renewable energy sources European Economic Community (EEC) policy.
Imagine being able to pick up a quick bottle of water or soda at the beach every mile for ten miles. We also think about some of these machines loaded with hot drinks like cocoa, coffee, tea, etc. on a few slopes at a mountain ski lodge? Normally, a place such as the mountains would have too much cloud cover to operate a solar powered device effectively.
However, the company has thought of this too, and the solution was an option for wind powered vending. This could also prove to be a viable option for windy places (like the beach). And no worry for dark nights or cloudy days as each unit has a rechargeable battery that is juiced up during the day and lasts for 7 days.
Check out for these machines the next time you visit Spain and you feel hot and thirsty…
